WHY NOISE CONTROL IS PRIMARY?
Sound is measured in decibels (dB). A whisper is about 30 dB and normal conversation is about 60 dB. Noise above 85 dB for more than 8 hours per day over a prolonged period of time may start to damage hearing. Long term exposure to excess noise causes permanent hearing damage.
Noise increases the chances of occurrence of causes such as headache, blood pressure, heart failure, etc.
Excess noise can cause Emotional and behavioral stress and other health disorders.
